PROBATION OFFICER - Training Programs Available

Job Description

You will supervise offenders that have been placed on probation. You will routinely check in with offenders by meeting them at their home and meeting with their families. You also investigate their backgrounds, write reports on their progress, and make recommendations on further treatment.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and conducting interviews with offenders
• Update reports and monitor progress after release
• Network with communities and organizations to prevent further crimes

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills
• Applicants with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, sociology, or security law enforcement will be preferred for this position
